Orange Slice was started by former videographers and editors from hockey and football. We spent years cutting footage for TV broadcasts, highlight packages and coaches, usually by hand and usually against the clock.

That kind of work was only ever available to teams that could pay for it. We built Orange Slice so athletes, their coaches and their families can get clips cut around one player, by the next morning, without the cost or the overhead.

Most players never get that. Games and matches get filmed, and the video sits on a phone until the season ends. The feedback a player gets is usually whatever a coach remembers afterwards.

It works from the video that already exists. It finds the player, cuts the moments they were in, and sorts them so you can watch one skill at a time. It covers tennis, hockey, football and basketball, with more sports coming soon.

The name comes from the half-time oranges. Somebody always cut them. Nobody made the highlight reel.
